AUCTION INSIGHT
As the year gets underway, producers are actively evaluating equipment needs for the seasons ahead. At Catalyst Communications, Hot Line Farm and Antique Monthly Update keep a close watch on auction trends to assist buyers in making timely, strategic equipment choices.
Skid steer loaders have continually adapted to changing jobsite demands, evolving from simple loaders into highly configurable machines that can remain productive decades after they leave the showroom. That adaptability is why older units— often simpler to maintain and compatible with a wide range of attachments— continue to attract steady interest at auction alongside newer, technology-driven models.
The following is a sampling of skid steer loaders at recent auctions across the U. S.:
• Bobcat T190— Recent auction results in Northeastern markets showed values ranging from $ 10,750 to $ 17,500, with cab-equipped machines and air conditioning continuing to influence higher selling prices.
• Bobcat 763— Units sold between $ 9,500 and $ 16,775, with lower-hour machines and those equipped with ROPS, heat, or A / C drawing stronger buyer interest.
• Bobcat S300— Auction prices from multiple regions ranged from $ 7,345 to $ 14,000, reflecting wide variation tied to configuration, attachments, and overall condition.
• Volvo MC115C— Sales in Northeastern markets reached $ 12,500 to $ 20,900, with late-model, low-hour, and well-equipped machines consistently landing at the top end of the spectrum.
These examples reflect only a small portion of skid steer loader activity captured in our database, which tracks a far wider range of models, configurations, hours, and selling prices across the market.
