AUCTION INSIGHT
As producers get ready to plant, many are already thinking about harvest. At Catalyst Communications, Hot Line Farm and Antique Monthly Update, we monitor auction activity to help buyers make well-timed, informed equipment decisions.
Each generation of combines has introduced refinements in capacity, grain handling, operator comfort, and serviceability. Many producers rely on proven, mechanically straightforward machines that can still cover acres effectively. That balance between innovation and dependability is reflected in today’ s auction market.
The following are recent auction results from across the U. S.:
• John Deere 9670 STS- Late-2000s models sold across Midwestern markets from $ 42,000 to $ 59,000. Most reported units were two-wheel drive models.
• John Deere 9770 STS- Auction prices ranged from $ 32,750 to $ 67,500 across multiple regions of the U. S.
• Case IH Axial-Flow 8250- A recent Illinois auction reported a selling price of $ 305,000.
• Case IH Axial-Flow 9250- A Midwestern auction reported a four-wheel-drive model with cab features selling for $ 216,000.
