RETAIL OUTLOOK
by Donna Hogan
With harvest nearly complete, farmers begin to take a look at equipment they can afford and need to replace. Often, equipment over seven to 10 years old is ready to be upgraded. At this time, there are a good number of late model used hay balers on the market.
Examples include a few of those found in eastern states( Ohio, New York and Pennsylvania) and the middle states( Minnesota and North Dakota).
At this time, the greatest number of balers advertised are John Deere models( over 50 different models) at three dealers in the states of Pennsylvania, Minnesota and North Dakota.
I found several 2023 John Deere L331 and L341 balers in New York and Pennsylvania advertised with an average asking price of $ 185,996.
A large number of 2023 John Deere 560M balers in Minnesota and North Dakota listed with an average asking price of $ 60,530. Other years ranging from 2018 to 2021 were advertised from $ 38,400 to $ 49,300.
There are several 2021 and 2022 New Holland Rollbelt 450 balers with an average asking price of $ 43,400 in Pennsylvania, and several 2015 models in Minnesota that are listed with an average asking price of $ 29,900. Older New Holland models found in Ohio include the 2016 BC570 with prices in the $ 17,900 to $ 18,500 range.
As always, condition must be taken into account on the asking price of any used item— regardless http of:// www the location. hotlineguides.. com / newsletter-sign-up
