by Donna Hogan Harvest season will be here shortly, or may already have started if you live in a part of the country where spring planting begins early.
Combines are always a sought after piece of equipment when it comes harvest time. Most farmers have already purchased their harvest equipment by now, so many dealers will be throwing out their late season deals on combines so they do not have to over-winter them. This means you can make some pretty sweet deals by purchasing now.
A large number of John Deere and Case-IH models are advertised at this time. The current HOT SPOT for these combines is Minnesota, Illinois and the Dakota’ s.
Just a bit of September retail trivia: A combined total of 65 John Deere combines were listed by four dealers in the states mentioned here.
A 2022 Case-IH Axial-Flo 9250 listed in North Dakota has an asking price of $ 579,500. One dealer in Minnesota has three 2022 Case-IH Axial-Flo 8250 combines advertised with prices ranging from $ 327,900 to $ 359,900. An Ohio dealership is advertising a 2020 Case-IH Axial Flo 7250 for $ 335,900 and another dealer in Minnesota has a 2021 listed for $ 389,900. Two older, 1997 Case-IH 2188 models at a Minnesota dealership are listed at $ 18,000 and $ 24,500.
In the John Deere department, there are over 30 2023 S780 models advertised by dealers in Minnesota, North Dakota, Illinois and New York. Prices on these machines range from $ 449,900 to $ 639,900. The higher asking prices were located in Minnesota.
