From the Editor’ s Desk
To our farmers and ranchers,
March signals a seasonal shift. Equipment is pulled into the shop for maintenance, plans are finalized for spring fieldwork and the pace quickens as another growing season approaches. This month is also National Agriculture Month and Women’ s History Month, and 2026 is the International Year of the Woman Farmer. This is a time to recognize the people who power our industry forward
Women make up 36 % of U. S. producers. They are managing operations, leading agribusinesses, advancing research, building markets and working alongside their families in the field every day. Their contributions, often steady and sometimes behind the scenes, are woven into the fabric of American agriculture.
At Farmers Hot Line, we see that grit and resilience firsthand in the stories you share and the work you do. Whether you’ re preparing planters, balancing books, caring for livestock or planning the next expansion, your efforts keep our nation fed, fueled and moving forward.
We want to take a moment and recognize the women helping shape the future of farming and ranching while honoring the broader commitment shared by all producers during this critical time of year. Thank you for the long hours, the tough decisions and the pride you bring to your operations. We’ re proud to support you and stand alongside you this season and beyond.
