Equipment Spotlight | TELEHANDLERS

More Reach, More Jobs

Telehandlers Handle Lifting, Loading, & Material Placement Across Agricultural Operations
Each Equipment Spotlight offers highlights on a specific type of equipment for the agriculture industry. These manufacturers have provided details on the model of their choosing.
JLG AG619
As farms grow in scale and complexity, equipment versatility and productivity are increasingly important. Telehandlers are gaining a larger role in agriculture because they combine lifting capacity, extended reach, and attachment versatility in one machine. They can support jobs ranging from handling hay, silage, seed, and fertilizer to feeding livestock, cleaning barns, and maintaining farm infrastructure— helping producers accomplish multiple tasks with fewer pieces of equipment.
The JLG AG619 telehandler represents the newest mid-size addition to JLG’ s purpose-built agriculture family product line. Designed for farmers who need more capability than a compact loader without moving up to the size of a standard telehandler, the AG619 offers a 6,150-pound lift capacity, 19-foot lift height, and 10-foot, 1-inch forward reach. At just 6 feet, 11 inches wide and 7 feet, 5 inches tall, with a 142-inch turning radius, it is designed to maneuver in barns, sheds, pens, lots, and other confined agricultural spaces.
The AG619 also offers a 22-mile-per-hour top travel speed and 24-gallon-per-minute hydraulic output, along with JLGapproved attachments including buckets, forks, bale spears, and material grapples. An industry-first receiver hitch further expands its versatility for towing trailers around the farm.
Bobcat TL623
Telehandlers complement compact loaders with the lift height, forward reach, and material placement needed for a wider range of applications.
The Bobcat TL623 telehandler is a compact machine designed for a range of applications, including construction, agriculture, landscaping, and snow removal. With a 6,000-pound lift capacity and 23-foot lift height, it provides the reach needed to place materials, load trucks, or build and manage snow piles. Its compact footprint at 82.7 inches wide and 84.3 inches high allows it to maneuver through tight spaces, buildings, and confined job sites. The machine also offers up to 13 feet, 3 inches of forward reach and travel speeds up to 18.3 miles per hour.
The standard Power Bob-Tach mounting system allows operators to change non-hydraulic attachments without leaving the cab and enables compatibility with select attachments used
For producers facing tight labor availability and pressure to get more work done efficiently, that versatility matters. Telehandlers can allow one operator and one machine to tackle multiple lifting, loading, and material-handling jobs, helping reduce reliance on manual labor while supporting productivity during demanding seasons.

Powered by a Tier 4 turbocharged engine rated at 74.2 horsepower, the TL623 meets emissions requirements without a diesel particulate filter. Five operating modes, including ECO, Smooth Drive, Dynamic Drive, Flex Drive, and Advanced Attachment Control, allow operators to tune machine response to the task. Four steering modes, including all-wheel, front-wheel, crab steer, and semi-crab steer, further support maneuverability. Operator controls include a single joystick with fingertip controls, the Smart Handling System for tailored boom movement, and Automatic Ride Control to reduce load spillage.
