Grain Bins Built for the Long Haul
Grain bins remain a cornerstone of on-farm storage, with manufacturers focusing on strength, accessibility and efficiency to meet the needs of modern operations. Bins today are built in a wide range of sizes and configurations, from hopper-style designs to million-bushel storage systems.
Features such as reinforced roofs, high-strength steel, expanded manways and improved ventilation reflect ongoing efforts to protect grain quality while supporting long-term durability. The following selection highlights current bin options available to farmers across North America.
Sukup
Sioux Steel Company
Sukup offers farm bins with capacities from 1,848 to 73,711 bushels. These bins feature 50,000-pound roof load ratings and patented 22-inch anchor brackets that function as stiffeners for the plenum.
An extra-large manhole with a 20-inch by 35.5-inch opening is a comfortable fit for most operators— a special latch holds the manhole firmly in place and the cover lies flat against the roof when open.
Sukup bin doors feature a reversible hinge so doors open to the left or right, whichever works best for your layout. The inner doors open a full 180 degrees to rest flat against the sidewall and there ' s no cross-bracing to block the opening.

Built for high-capacity grain storage systems, Sioux Steel is proud to offer the new Raptor IV sweep, now having the ability to move between 7,500 and 12,500 bushels per hour. The heavyduty sweep, manufactured to fit bins up to 165 feet in diameter, is engineered to operate while fully submerged in grain and is capable of unburying itself in the event of an avalanche.
Unlike traditional auger-based sweeps, the Raptor IV uses flexible rubber paddles to move grain, reducing hazards and friction while ensuring an even clean-out. Designed for zeroentry operation, the Raptor IV eliminates the need for workers to enter the bin.
Sioux Steel Company, a fifth-generation, family-owned business, has manufactured grain storage solutions since 1918. With Sioux Steel and SCAFCO Grain Systems, the company provides products to farmers and ranchers across the U. S. and in more than 80 countries. Its bins are engineered for grains weighing up to 70 pounds per bushel.
