Compact Power at Work

Built To Lift, Load, & Keep Farms Moving

Each Equipment Spotlight offers highlights on a specific type of equipment for the agriculture industry. These manufacturers have provided details on the model of their choosing.
Yanmar TL80VP
On a farm, equipment is rarely limited to a single task or season. The same machine may be called on to move feed in the morning, clean livestock areas in the afternoon, and maintain roads, clear brush, or remove snow as conditions change. That range of work has made compact track loaders increasingly valuable to agricultural operations seeking dependable, year-round productivity from one machine.
The new Yanmar TL80VP is designed to meet those varied demands. Its vertical-lift design provides the reach and lift height needed to load trucks, wagons, and other high-sided equipment, while its 2,800-pound rated operating capacity supports demanding material-handling applications. Compatibility with attachments for grading, brush mowing, land clearing, snow removal, and other work extends its usefulness well beyond traditional loading tasks.
The TL80VP features the ASV Posi-Track dual-level suspended undercarriage. The undercarriage design incorporates two independent torsion-axle suspension systems, allowing the bogie wheels and track to conform to the terrain. At just 3.9 pounds per square inch, it delivers low ground pressure, helping the machine maintain traction, flotation, and stability across soft soil, pastures, muddy farmyards, and uneven surfaces. The fully suspended design also contributes to a smoother ride when traveling between work areas throughout the property.
Its combination of lifting capability and maneuverability allows the TL80VP to work around barns, feedlots, fences, and narrow farm lanes without sacrificing the capacity required for heavier jobs. For farmers, the value of a compact track loader is not defined by a single specification. It is measured by how reliably the machine can move from job to job, adapt with the seasons, and keep essential work moving when ground conditions are less than ideal.

GEHL Large-Frame
GEHL large-frame skid steers feature heavy-duty guarding and robust undercarriages built with forged steel sprockets. They are available in three models: V325, V335, and V360— each designed for maximum uptime and long-term durability. The machines offer a rated operating capacity between 3,300 and 3,600 pounds and feature Yanmar and Deutz engines ranging from 72 to 114 horsepower, depending on the model.
These skid steers are available in high-flow auxiliary options( up to 40 gallons per minute and 3,450 pounds per square inch) with smart load-sensing technology that automatically matches the machines to the active workload by adjusting hydraulic power. This feature helps improve efficiency and provide fuel savings. A variable flow rate ensures safe attachment use by allowing the operator to adjust the flow rate for an individual attachment.
These machines are compatible with a range of attachments, including mulching heads, snow attachments, and more. They also have a large cab, 7-inch color display, and back-lit keypad to help improve operator comfort and control. Standard front LED work lights and LED rear work lights, along with dual rear taillights, increase visibility when working in the dark and reduce downtime by allowing for longer work days.
Grease points at standing height and removable floor mats provide easier upkeep, and GEHL tucked the hydraulic lines inside the skid steer arms to protect them from damage. An IdealAccess flip-up cab makes entering and exiting the cab easier for the operator.
