Frick
George Frick founded the Frick Company of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania in 1853. The company started into the tractor business manufacturing steam tractor engines, and sawmills in 1875. In 1882, the company started manufacturing refrigeration products, and it wasn’ t until 1918 that the company added their first successful tractor. Frick manufactured two models, the l2-25 and 15-28 internal-combustion tractors for approximately ten years. They were a well-built tractor, but had a rather odd look, since they had very large front wheels. In many respects the Frick’ s looked similar to the Huber Light Four, another tractor manufactured during that time. There is no connection between the two companies.
In 1928, Frick discontinued their tractor division, in favor of their more profitable refrigeration division.
