Friday
The Friday Tractor Company of Hartford, Michigan, manufactured tractors from 1948 through 1952. These tractors were built with powerful 46 horsepower Chrysler Industrial engines, with ten forward and two reverse gears, and twospeed rear-ends. This was one of the most powerful engines of its time. They were built with a wide range of speeds ranging from under 2 mph to 30 mph. The Friday was designed in an orchard style for Michigan fruit growers. Hydraulics and a PTO were optional on the Friday. One unique feature on the tractors was the steering system, which was assisted by two hand brake levers; and a pedal brake, which was used for normal stopping. The units came with a parking brake as well. The tractors had a sleek rounded frontend and low production numbers make them a very desirable tractor to own.
